Hi there! I'm Kery (I usually go by Yani online) and I'm a Residential Advocate at a Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Shelter. I'm a spiritually practicing unintegrated Native American (my grandmother was a state school survivor unreturned to her tribe). I'm an anarchist punk and a Theistic Satanist.My main foci in social justice are child sexual abuse prevention, LGBTQ+ rights and Native American rights. MMIW and RAINN are the two causes I donate to most often, but I spend a lot of time advocating in my community through my job for queer peoples and CSA survivors specifically.I like anime, horror and trucrime. I will proofread and copy edit. I'm good with story flow, spelling, punctuation, character building, and much more! I'll edit stories, character profiles, essays and other texts. Turnaround
I can typically have something under 25k words edited within a week. Every 15k after that adds a week to my processing time. However, if you need it sooner, let me know and we'll hash out details and see if it can be done!-
Note
Editing is the base price of $32/1000 words. This includes notation of story/character advice but not discussion. Story advice consultation over discord DM is an extra charge, usually around 20~40 USD depending on how long the discussion is.I'm new. Where do you sit in the editing market?
I'm actually a relatively cheap option for copy editing. Freelance copy editing is typically anywhere from $18/1k to $50/1k words. I know it's costly and hard to find an editor when you're getting started, so I try to keep my rates low, while keeping them high enough to make it worth my time and ensure I have the time to do my best.
